The battle.

For every step I took,

I glance over to watch you taking your steps.

For each breath I gasp,

I glance over to see if you're doing okay.

Did you see how much I care?

I was struggling, but inside my mind was only you.

All i care was will you reach the peak?

Even if you had to abandon me, I hope you would.

It was a battle, I saw in you.

To either wait for me.

Or to just leave and continue the journey together with the others.

I won the battle with myself.

To continue, to let you see the peak you've been waiting for.

Coz you won the battle, to wait so patiently, giving me all the motivation and to still walk with me, to see the peak, 

together.
